Targeted Cats and Dogs into Child's Pose
Hie.. I have glumus tumur in my middle finger, have got my surgery done already.. nothing worked so far . Please suggest something
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Thank you for this video 🙏 am i right in understanding that the neuroma itself (once established) is unlikely to go away, and it just becomes a case of managing it? All the “fix Morton's neuroma” vids i’ve seen seem to talk more about management thank actual healing/reversal?
Nice stretch - thanks
This video would have been so much better if you had actually used a real foot to show exactly where to place the ice, massage, etc. Regardless, I will try the methods you described. Thanks.
I'm 65 and been running since 6th grade. I have motons for a long time at least 15 years. I have not tried ice. I used to put in a lot of miles. I find Hoka running shoes the best. I'm going to try everything you suggested. Wish me luck.
All the very best for you Donna Jenks 👍👍🎉
Thank you for your comment 🙏
Good luck, i hope you found some relief and were able to get back to running? I am still trying to get there myself after over a year of not running due to this difficult issue x.x
Thanks for this info, il try out what you said. Also well done on putting the moaners and know alls in their place. Too many keyboard geniuses telling those trying to help how to do things. Keep up the good work and again thanks for taking the time to help others 👍
This is, by FAR, the best video posted by any chiropractic care about this topic. There are several which advocated a list of exercises & stretches that they did ONLY to affected side & even said it made NO difference if you bothered to do them to the other side. ANYONE involved with body mechanics or fitness knows this is horrible advice! It can alter your gait, or even begin to cause back pain. Thank You for a Great Video!
A perinueral fibroma is a connective tissue enlargement of the shared interdigital nerve going to the 3rd inerspace...One can DELAY its symptoms via sterod injections buy eventually MOST symptomatic ones require surgical removal..MASSAGE WILL NEVER EVER REVERSE THIS,,,,EVER A longitudinal felt pad placed in the sole of the shoe to elevate either the 3rd or 4th metatarsal out of the transerse plane of its neighbor will help, bu most patients do not care to do that long term
Heard lots of issues with surgery only works 50 percent of time!
Is it true that a collapsed arch may cause a neuroma?
I do have collapsed arches on both feet too ! Is this what it could be ? Please Answer
I realize this is a very old comment… but for anyone newer who might cross this comment. The “arch” that most people refer to of course is the arch in the middle of the foot going front to back… but feet have another arch, that goes side to side across your forefoot. And that side to side arch when it collapses or is compromised due to narrow shoes is often what contributes to Morton’s neuroma. The collapsed or squeezed. Side to side arch squeezes the nerve that goes between the metatarsal bones… the bones squeeze and irritate the nerve cause what you could think of scar tissue which becomes the neuroma… so, yes, collapsed arch is what causes Morton’s neuroma but that arch is not the arch that general populace refers to as arch of the foot, but a different transversal arch going side to side across your forefoot.
Can you get a neuroma from just an injury like walking up hill in sand . I hurt my foot at the beach walking up a sand dune and it’s been hurting every day since.
I've been researching this extensively the past few weeks (bc I hate going to the doctor & when I DO, I like to know my options), and one of things I found is that stress fractures are quite common. So, having an x-ray may be a good idea for you, but for sure consult with your doctor. Good Luck!
Dude, what is going on with the door in the background??
Ha! I think the cameraman in 2012 was operating with a terrible tripod.
I’ve heard that people see good results using the pads below the ball of the feet. Have you used those and seen results? I got some but I’m having a hard time placing them just right.
Sorry for the delay in responding. Mixed results, but worth a try as they're affordable.

I can’t find shoes that fit. Nothing works. What do I do?
Dang, maybe try barefoot or a brand like Hey Dudes.

I hadn't noticed a problem with the video. Grateful you are the first to explain about runners and hikers getting this and why, often in the spring which is exactly what happened to me. Very challenging. Thanks for some helpful solutions.🙏
Fantastic information! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!

Wow LOL
When you work 10 hours a day on concrete its hard to up activities gradually
Yes. That is a challenge. How can you overcome that?
Maybe an "accommodation" from your employer, (I use a tripod "seat-cane"), or a change of job, maybe time off with Disability...? I wish you luck!
8 minutes of explaining a fot problem without show a foot, great work LOL
THANK YOU!

What about mls laser therapy?
Low Level Laser therapy? It's worth a try.
Thank’s! Your’e video helpd
You're welcome. Thank you for letting us know.
Fix? Yea right. I love it...."don't use foot". See....no pain...its fixed. LOL. Hundreds of vids with 2 commercials telling you the same crap that doesn't work.
Glad you feel comfortable expressing your opinion. These are entry level strategies that are free and often help. When they don't, there are also pay for solutions out there. Best to you.
Have suspected neuroma between thumb & pointer finger. Sharp pain when trying to grip things, where several muscles cross. Does this have a specific name? Most other differential diagnoses have been ruled unlikely by 2 exams. Would similar manipulation & flexion be helpful? Thanks
It's worth a try. Maybe a product to reduce movement too (temporarily)
The whole problem Starts with a subluxation/mis-alignment of the Calcaneus bone and the Tallus bone. This causes the Metatarsal bones to become out of alignment and can also cause Bunions to form as well as Morton’s Neuromas to form! It’s all explained with Biomechanics, people! This is what Chiropactic is all about! I suffered from both a Bunion and Morton’s Neuroma until I asked my DC to adjust my feet! The addition of an orthotic (both the cheap Walk-fit brand And Rx digital expensive Orthotics) saved me from the surgeons knife, alternative! If you’d like to see a video showing this biomechanics of an MRI showing this, I would be happy to provide the information! Thank God for Chiropactic!!
Yes injections and surgery are the last option.
Please do! 2 years ago I had surgery on the talis bone. Now this past summer while Dirtbiking I’m in total agony after about 2 hours of riding. I’m trying everything and now I’m considering the surgery to have the neuroma removed. :(
Yes could you please share biomechanics on this!
It feels like there is about a 1/2 inch of padding under the ball of both feet -- I'm aware of it all the time. I feel it just sitting or waking. It started months ago. X-ray of one swollen/red second toe diagnosed arthritis. Podiatrist did not address feeling of a thickness across ball of foot. At the end of the day it gets a burning feeling and my toes feel weird now. Is this thick feeling a symptom of Morton's Neuroma?
Doubtful these sites will answer and I’ll tell you what I’m learning, IM SCREWED!! I have exact same thing, about the size of a quarter and it kills me. Wide towed shoe box, I’ve gotten some rocker tennis shoes and anything to keep that pressure off the ball of that foot.
Possibly (sorry for the delay we need to fix our notifications). It sounds like you need a legit consultation either through us or a local provider. You can schedule a free 10 minutes consultation through our website coorwellness.com
Thanks mam
Man, this is awesome Bryce!
Thank you. What did you like about it?
On the ice cup. Do you apply it to the top of the foot or the bottom (ball of the foot)?
Hi Smitty either or. Test what gives you the best results & let us know. It depends on your specific anatomy.
Awesome advice!
How many days off running does it require?
That’s too tough to say through RUclips. Every person is different. Lots of providers are offering telehealth right now & that’s one way to answer that specific your case. www.gjtelehealth.com - complete that form & we can do a free insurance consultation
Do you find that people who have mortons neuroma tend to have wider feet?
Good question. No, I see the opposite. And often they’re runners/hikers tying their laces too tight or they transition from minimal activity to lots of time on their feet.
How long should I keep toe separator on each night?
@@CoorWellness or if you are a product of the late 80’s, early 90’s and you have worn heals for the most part of your adult life, you’ve crammed your toes in those gorgeous Jimmy Choos one time to many. It creates a horrible build up of tissue, nerves, mine is size of a quarter and refuses to go away. Or you can freeze a water bottle to roll your feet over.
@@EmmaDee hahaha nice reply! You're right about the frozen water bottle. It's an inexpensive at home strategy.

Excited to work togather Dr. Christianson. This is a great opportunity to really help some people.
I need stretched and massaged
What does the band do? Follow-up question: If I don't have the band, will I still benefit from doing the stretches?
The band is supposed to add a little more “stretch” to the tissue. & yes it’s worth a try but you benefit more from a compression type approach; for instance using a rolling pin on your lower leg.
You have no idea how thankful I am. For a year I stretched wrong (bent back), then for at least a year irregularly, in part because the progress was extremely slow. I just did 5 cycles for each leg and the difference is there! Not a gymnast yet ofc, but it's more than I've accomplished in months!
Excellent
Should the palm of the hand against the back be facing the back or away from the back?
Good question. Usually away from the back. So the back of the hand & finders are touching your back.
Hi, what shoud be the position of lumbar spine while doing this stretch? flat on the ground or maintaining physiological curve? thanks..
Hi Ajda - there's no need to over think it. Perform this as natural as possible; discontinue if you experience any pain. Share with your friends too.
@@CoorWellness thanks for your answer. I am asking because my boyfriend has disc protrusion. His hamstrings are so tight that they are pulling the pelvis in the posterior tilt. I am trying to find a hamstring stretch that would not hurt his back...
I’ve had low back pain for a long time but recently it’s become chronic. I’ve seen various people for help and have been following a rehab program at my gym, under instruction for two months, with little benefits to my back. I’ve followed your instruction today and for the first time in an age I am sitting comfortably with no pain. This is either a miracle or you’ve found something very special. All I can say is thank you and I will be continuing with this exercise.
Mr. Hardwood - thank you for your kind words. It's great to hear you're feeling better. The providers at COOR Wellness have had good mentors. There is not one sources we can credit for teaching us everything. Dr. Josh Sandell influenced our methodology more than anyone else and he's probably where this was learned. Please share this with your friends. You'll never know who may need it too.
Will a tennis ball work for this, too?
Yes
What is the benefit of keeping the other leg straight rather than bent????
Either is fine. Sample both and see what helps more.
Every hamstring stretch on RUclips is titled THE BEST however this is truly the best stretch I've come across, thank you!
1 of them refers to this video in their video :-) Thank you & we're glad this was helpful!
why is the audio low! great video though!
Haha - this was made in 2011 - back before we knew anything about AV stuff.
I tried self massage on my hamstrings and it releases some of the tightness not all. And I elevate my legs to a point where I feel a slight stretch for 15 seconds or so. Consistency is the key.
"Consistency is the key." --- exactly!
thanks for the workout tip. I'm having excruciating pain trying to do it!
Trying to do this stretch? I think you need to visit a provider to evaluate what's going on.
+COOR Wellness I've been & now I know, I have to have a hip replacement as all my cartilage is gone!
+COOR Wellness the reason I was trying hamstring exercises cuz my daughter's father-in-law said he had the same kind of pain as I have described. And he said it helped him with the hamstring exercises. I guess I just had a different problem!
